I am getting a rec from a english teacher, and one or two more recs from other teachers.

In addition, I attended at a SAT prep school over summer and when i took practice test in the Princeton's Review practice tests recently, I got like 2000 on those. (could I expect a higher grade on the real thing since people say Princeston's review books tend to be harder?)

SUMMARY: 4.1 GPA weighted, around 2000 SAT (or around 1400 if only counting M and V), several EC's, awards, sports, etc. And I am a international student (not a resident neither)

I decided Biology as my major, and I was looking to these schools and I thought:
Cornell - High Reach
NYU: Reach
Boston College: Reach
Georgetown: Reach

but I didn't know about:
-George Washington
-Penn State
-Boston University

Please tell me, depending on my status, if the schools I am looking to are Reach's or Match's. And if you know any other colleges that I could be looking forward to in biology major. Thank you all for reading this long, long crap about me. :)

Have you considered the ACT? Your SAT is your thorn in an otherwise solid profile. Gtown is harder to get into than BC and NYU by the way.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REPLYING!!!!
so SAT is the problem... do you think if i get about 2100 on the real thing, would I be enough to be considered as a average applicants for NYU and Boston College?

and about the ACT, how much preparation does it require in general before taking it?

I think you might do better on the ACT because it tends to favor people who are good at APs and classwork. Look into it. Also your ECs are average, so its hard to get over the SAT. Does you school disclose rank? If they don't you'll be MUCH better off.

Cornell - Rejected
NYU: Accepted
Boston College: Rejected
Georgetown: Rejected

but I didn't know about:
-George Washington- Rejected
-Penn State-Accepted
-Boston University-Accepted

Cornell-rejected
NYU-accepted
BC-Rejected
Gtown-rejected
GW-accepted
Penn-accepted
BU-rejected

wow... I didn't even know I was even a candidate for NYU... lol

Since it seems I have a higher chance to go to NYU than other colleges that I chose, should I do ED for NYU to raise the chance of getting in?
(I personnally like NYU).
I am wondering whether I would have chance or not if I applied ED for other colleges like BC. What do you think?

-and thanks again to all for replying :)
