i feel dumb..

haha.

let me introduce myself. my name is eric, i live in Wisconsin, and i am a junior.

i have a lot of the factors to get me into a good college right now. the only thing that is holding me back is my act score.

ive only taken it once...but i am not happy with my scores..

english-32
math-27
science-23
reading-23
composite-26 :(

i know that i can do better on math and that it is possible for me to. i just got caught up on a few when i took it..and didnt quite finish.

however, reading and science are very disappolinting. and i am not quite sure what to do about it. i read a lot and i enjoy science. so i dont know why these parts are such a problem for me. if anyone has sugestions about how i could do better on those two sections...that would be great. :(

id love to get my score to at least a 32 or so.

also, does anyone know where i could get some practice tests...because ive done the same one twice now, so it isnt much help.

haha.

thanks a million!

Hi Eric!

To try to improve your scores, I would suggest buying the "official" book with 3 practice tests. In addition, number2.com is a site I have found pretty useful. Also any review classes help greatly, if you can afford them. I did Princeton Review for SAT and it got my score from 1800 to 2030, and I KNOW that's not the best I could have done.

there are many free practice tests online, sparknotes has them I know

I'd advise you to take all the practice tests you can. McGraw-Hill publishes their 10, 5, and 3 practice ACT books. ACT publishes its official book, and there are Sparknotes and other collections of practice tests to use.

You're not stupid. A 26 is a decent score - others have scored lower. It all depends on what colleges you apply to. Just practice; you have to get use to time constraints.
