I THINK THAT'S ALL... PLEASE TELL ME IF I HAVE A GOOD CHANCE AT ANY OF MY CHOICE SCHOOLS... IF YOU FEEL THAT I DON'T HAVE A GOOD CHANCE, PLEASE RECOMMEND ANOTHER SCHOOL! THANKS A BUNCH

I think that you have decent chances to get into all of your colleges. You also might want to consider Ithaca College and Florida State, both of which have been known for having good music education programs. I think that both could be match schools for you. Warning: FSU's admission standards get tougher as the class fills up, so apply early if you're interested in this school.

There are plenty of people who get into good colleges with the kind of stats that you have. Don't be discouraged by the sky high stats that you see on these boards. Most of the people posting are interested in places like Harvard, and they don't represent the majority of students who head to four-year colleges. Your stats are actually higher than most students who go to 4-year colleges, so there are plenty of places that would gladly accept you.

Look into the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. They have an excellent music education program. So does Duquesne in Pittsburgh. UConn has a fine program, but my understanding is that you apply as a music major, and then at the end of your freshman year, you apply for admittance to the education program. For Hartt and Duquesne you apply as music ed major as a freshman. DS applied to both and they offer generous merit aid too.

You took music theory twice?? I have to admit I did enjoy that test :)

you go to westhill? lol i went there in my frosh year. (last year)
and i am sure they dont have class called Honors English 12.

have you won any nationally accliamed piano awards or competitions?

You may want to look at the Eastman School of Music through University of Rochester.

I agree with northeastmom. You should definitely apply there. Don't get so discouraged...I'm a senior at an extremely competitive HS in Chicago, so I know how you feel. But there is definitely something that sets you apart, so you are, by no means, mediocre. Go for it.

i had worse stats and got into uconn for spring 2006! both my parents also went there
