ACD = Academy. I am in the academy which changes certain courses to be acd courses. These courses are focuses on my choice of topic, for me computer repair specifically and business and IT in general. So my essays in English for ex. would than be based on computers. These classes also have many guest speakers and information on colleges.

ROP = Off campus class with hands on training.

These schools probably wont care about your frosh year grades. Also, you need to stop worrying about quantity of AP classes - they look for other things in students. In other words, they don't want cookie cutter students. Being in the National Honor Society and every club isn't going to get you into MIT. Find an interest, embrace it, and try.

You might want to consider a schedule change (if possible) because if you want to be accepted to any top tier college, you have to take challenging courses. You also might want to consider applying to a college that doesn't look at your freshman schedule and grades (ex. Princeton). Most importantly, I think you need to relax. You're only in your sophomore year and you're freaking out about colleges. Focus on your grades, PSAT, etc. for now...

How was the online summer course by the way? Did you like it?

9th and 10th grade aren't really as important in the admissions process as 11th and 12th (make sure you don't slack off your senior year). If you're really worried about it, ask your counselor to mention the scheduling difficulties that prevented you from taking advanced courses in the recommendation that s/he has to write.

Lucky for you - I am an idiot. :D

Okay so thats mixed posts. Nickdechile im only in CSF and NHS because they are easy clubs that dont matter much so most people that apply to the top teir schools have them anyway. I love community service as it is very morale boosting and I love computer engineering (what i want to major in ) so thats why im in it. My Ecs are very enjoyable and arent padding ( I work as a computer technician for 30 dollars an hour ! trust me im not only doing that for college lol) .

Cosine I am not sure how much change i can make as we are 3 weeks into school. I think im stuck with this schedule, minus switching english and history but only if i drop theater (which im taking as a UC art requirement and public speaking) .

This is a chances thread. You shouldn't be worrying about colleges now, you're a sophomore! I don't see why you would want to worry about it, you'll do enough of that when you actually apply. It's good that you know where you want to apply, but for now just do your best in school and have fun doing extracurriculars you like.

chris.
Its not to early to think about college. It never is imo. In fact my second semester i have to do a grade level project for the academy , and this year for sophmores, we have to do a report on 5 colleges wed like to attend.

Yeah, you should be thinking about college, but you shouldn't be worrying about it, there's a big difference. Don't take it personally, I was just offering help. It's not healthy to constantly be wondering what you're doing wrong and whether, based on your current position, a college would accept you. It's the college's decision and no amount of sulking or obsession over what will happen can change what's going to happen.
