I feel like I can be honest in here, so please don't scold me but

I don't do my essays. I can't write and since I have been submitting my essays to 48houressay.com, I don't have to. I know it isn't right, but when I do my own work, I always get all the "red marks". I try and try and try and always seem to fail. I am a freshman, and there is a huge demand by my parents to have good grades but everytime I submit one, I feel like such a dummy. When I post it to the 48houressay, they get it done in time and I always get an "A", but I don't know what to do. I can't keep giving them my work to do. I am thinking about dropping out of school because I don't feel smart enough to even finish. People always say give it time, but I just hate writing. I am goingto school to be an economics major, why do I have to write stupid essays anyway? Can you give me some suggestions.

Your money would be better spent with a writing tutor than buying essays.

Kingdomchild1336, the reason you “have to write stupid essays” is that no matter what field you go into, you’ll have to write things and be able to communicate effectively. Even economists write articles as part of their job.

Continuing to turn in other people’s work or dropping out of school will not solve anything. In fact it will probably be quite damaging for you in the future if you want to pursue economics or anything else. What you really need to do is practice writing. I think the only way to improve your writing is by practicing (and that’s probably why you’re not getting better at it—you’re not practicing writing when you use that website to produce essays). I know you hate it, but you’ll definitely enjoy it a little more once you start knowing what you’re doing.

Learning to write helps you learn how to organize your thoughts and helps you think and communicate.

Start writing on more BLOGs… you may not be writing 5 paragraph essays but its a good start.

When I was a kid my parents scolded me because I read comic books (Spiderman/Thor and Donald Duck) and complained because I wasn’t a reader (like my academic siblings who read and liked traditional literature). They thought what I read was trash. But now looking back 30 years later I see it was my start… and slowly I got good at it and now enjoy reading.

Just write. Write often - without rules - misspell, use poor punctuation. Blog away. Over time I bet you will like it and get good at it.

Good Luck! You’ll be fine in the long run.

PS: I am now a salesman w/ 4 kids and a happy marriage of 25 years and a sucessful business. In many ways the most sucessfull of all my siblings. Not bad for a dummy Donald Duck “book” reader…

My number one recommendation would be to start any essay writing assignments early and go in and work through them with your teachers. It will take a while, but they will show you the thought process needed to write a good essay.

If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, or don’t like your teachers, I would next recommend then finding a writing tutor through a website like ■■■■■■■■■■. Such a tutor will help you get essays done and get good grades, but at the same time, the tutors will respond to your writing, and help you understand how to structure an argument.

Some how or other, it will be useful to you to learn how to structure an argument. It may be hard in the beginning, but it will pay huge dividends in the future if you do it now.
