Great, first semester at PCC ready to start my college career.

But guess what! Not a single English class, Math, Sociology, Psychology, or any other major class I need for my transfer is even available. How wonderful.

PCC classes aren’t even in that format.
PCC = Pasadena City College.

The format shouldn’t really matter. Have you thought about enrolling in any of the classes that limabeans listed? It’s annoying to have to take a class that you don’t want just to meet a requirement but the good part is that it’s only a few hours and then you’re done. I recommend “Intro to Folklore & Mythology” which seems pretty basic.

I think comrade1213 meant that those aren’t even classes at his CC.

comrade1213: I know UCSB won’t let me take classes at a CC (or at any other university) during Fall, Winter, or Spring quarters while I’m already taking classes at UCSB (that’s why I took a course online last summer), but have you considered taking online courses from another CC that will transfer? You should see if that’s possible if you really need transferable units right now.

Maybe you should have registered earlier…

Personally, if nothing you can take will transfer, I wouldn’t even bother. Get a job somewhere, study something on your own in your freetime, and go back in summer or fall or go to your university.
