I was just admitted to Tulane today and I can't remember what I put on my application (I have 11 out there so they all have meshed together in my head) and I was wondering if Tulane admits undergraduates to a specific school or generally. I want to go into engineering so I'd want to be going to the School of Science & Engineering. Thanks!

It is general. Everything is in Newcomb-Tulane College, the rest are “schools” within that college. That’s the beauty of it that makes it so easy to switch majors. So rest easy, if you decide to go to Tulane you would just sign up for the usual set of courses an engineering major would take, depending on whether you prefer BME or Chem E. Once you officially declare your major, they will assign you an advisor in that area. And you can always ask to see an advisor in engineering, even if they don’t initially assign you one. Good Luck and Congrats!

Terrific; thanks very much!
