I believe thats it. I'm a sophmore so I have one more year b4 SLS.
I know now my chances aren't that good but all comments and suggestions necessary

Stelas:
WP looks at academics (60%), leadership potential (30%) and CFA score (10%)
To improve admission chances candidates should get the best SAT/ACT scores they can. Take the test as many times as you need to, but at least twice. WP takes the highest individual Math and English score. Aim for mid 600s in each (mid 500s is often the minimum without other compelling factors) Class rank is really important - aim to be in the top 20% of your class if possible.
Athletic participation is important – so is competition.
Leadership in one activity is better than participation (with no leadership) in many activities.

Good luck!

What about volunteering? I personally don'e believe in it but I am trying to find a job.

I do not believe that it is an advantage to participate in volunteer work for the sake of putting it on your resume. rather find something that you are enthusiastic about and take a leadership role in that activity.
If you need to take a job (for financial reasons) and that impacts your ability to participate in athletics and other extracurriculr activities, WP admissions will take that into account.
As a sophomore, you may want to apply to participate in Girls/Boys State this summer. It is a leadership opportunity that is highly regarded by all of the academies.

"I know now my chances aren't that good but all comments and suggestions necessary"

I'd say that unless you significantly raise both your GPA and find yourself in the 95th percentile on your SAT's you've essentially no chance at all.

My suggestion is that if you are serious about West Point you are going to need to eat, sleep, and breath schoolwork, leadership, and sports for the next two years - and I include summers in this assessment. If you take this approach then anything is possible. If you can't or won't make school, leadership, and sports your life's priority, I'd start fleshing out a solid plan "B".

You are abosuletly right. Do you think that I should take classes for the SAT or self study. Also, do I have to take the three years of language? I will get a certificate from UCLA accrediting me with Russian.

"Do you think that I should take classes for the SAT or self study."

Yes, both. I would also do the three years of language, particularly if you have skill in Russian. If you can find a school where you can take Russian, and get an "A", that's definitely to your benefit both from a language skills and GPA improvement perspective.

I'm actually taking Spanish now and for Russian I just have to take a proficiency exam to get credited.
