I forgot to add my noncustodial parent's information on the CSS Profile! Help?!

I submitted the application two days ago, and I just realized that the noncustodial parent still needs to put their information on the CSS Profile along with the custodial parent’s information. The submitted CSS Profile has my custodial parent/mother’s information but not my noncustodial parent/father’s information. I originally thought my father would fill out a separate CSS Profile. I should have researched more into how the CSS Profile works. However, my father may not be able to help pay my tuition due to his low income, and we rarely speak to each other since he lives about six hours away from me. I am unsure whether or not to just fill out the CSS Profile Noncustodial Waiver Form or to email all my prospective colleges my father’s information so my profile will have both biological parent’s info.

I could really use some advice or help! Thanks!

Since you know where your dad lives and you’ve been in contact, I don’t see how you could get a waiver. I’d have him fill out the forms and submit them as soon as possible.

Based on what you wrote, you will not be eligible for a waiver. If he does not fill it out, you most likely will not get institutional aid.

Since your dad is low income, he might as well fill out the form.

You can’t email your dad’s financial information to colleges. Their financial aid departments don’t have the time to complete your forms for you and the rules likely prohibit it. Your dad has to complete the form and sign that the information is accurate. If he doesn’t submit it, you won’t be eligible for aid.
