I applied to Dartmouth and fit most of my information. However, I just realized I FORGOT TO ADD MY RESUME. A lot of the resume is relatively minor awards/clubs, but the 2 significant things I did were stuff I did over the summer. I volunteered at a special thing and did special activity. Should I contact Dartmouth?

Maybe contact Darthmouth and let them know about the situation, then email/mail it to them?

Did Dartmouth specifically say to include a resume? If they did, you need to contact the admissions office and say you unintentionally left your resume off of your application.

Are you saying those summer activities aren’t on your application at all? If they are then just leave it, resumes are not necessary. But if those things are not in your package, sent it in with a note to that effect. Quick, it’s very late.

Dartmouth only accepts additional materials electronically; they do not accept hard mail anymore. And they do accept resumes; it states so on another part of their site,

"Additional Applicant Updates
If you as an applicant have a significant update since submitting your Common Application, including a change to your contact information, please submit it electronically. Remember to include your full name and address. We discourage applicants from submitting large amounts of additional material and we will not process copies of awards or certificates, newsletters, or minor extracurricular updates.

Electronic: Email the update to Admissions.Processing@Dartmouth.edu.* A copy of your email message will be added to your file."

Thanks guys! They said I should send it to them via e-mail, and I just did.

@brownparent and other people, I sent it about three days ago after they told me to and they haven’t responded. Would you recommend I follow up?

I doubt that they will respond. They are really busy right now. If you sent it and your email registered that it was sent with no problems, relax. They have it.

@moonchild Thanks!
Do you guys think this will reflect negatively on me? I really love Dartmouth and I was really upset when I realized I had forgotten. What if they had wanted to accept me, and then changed their minds when I contacted them?

I don’t think so! People contact them all the time

Don’t worry, contacting them is not going to change the decision or look like any kind of significant negative. But you have sent it now let it go.

Do you guys think they looked at it?
