I forgot to write a thank-you note to my Georgetown interviewer. Foolishly, it totally skipped my mind...I just put it in the mail today after having it on November 2nd...am I screwed?

at this point i doubt it will matter, odds are they've sent in their review already since they're supposed to start reviewing applications by the 15th. i sent mine out a few days after my interview, but i don't see them writing a negative review because they didn't receive your thank you letter, don't worry about it.

Forget college.

AHHH, I forgot too. Oh well, I don't think it will affect it THAT much anyway. Don't they write their review of you before you send them a thank you note anyway. Why would they go back and change their review because you sent them a thank you note? Probably makes them feel better, but are they going to actually change their review of you?

this same thing happened to a cousin of mine. he was admitted to georgetown, but when his admissions officer found out that he had not sent a thank you note to his interviewer, his admission was immediately revoked. he now attends a community college and is a meth junkie. all because of a thank you note :(

ok obviously i'm kidding, but seriously man [or woman], this is such a trivial thing to worry about. if you were an interviewer would YOU cast an applicant into doubt simply because they didn't send a thank you note? quit stressin.

Seriously? You guys are freaking out so much. I didn't even know that that was something you were supposed to do. My college counelsor never mentioned that we should do that, so I doubt that each interviewer really expects it. And besides, these people have jobs to do, they probably won't really notice that much either way.
So have no fear. I got into Georgetown no problem without even the intention of sending a thank you to my interviewer.

That is some funny ****. You should skip Georgetown and just be a comedian.

There must be some REALLY BAD comedians in Texas.
