i found out today that my mom signed me up for the SAT saturday.

lovely. :(

my previous scores were

CR:700
M:740
W:610

and my act was 33

any way to improve writing in a few days time?

Learn a proper writing strategy and look at the grammar rules. Mine went from a 610 to a ~740 on practice tests

yea think of some examples to use for the essay before the essay and have them fit the essay.

sweet, my first essay was a 9, so i have some room for improvement

I would be satisfied if I just got a 10 on mine, I got an 8 on my March one but mine looked like

–

– « intro

–

–

– « huck finn

–

–

–

–

– « harriet tubman

– « conclusion

and i still got an 8, haha

mine was

intro (3 lines)

1 body paragraph that had like 2 examples, explained in 1 sentence each. (likke 3/4-1 page for total body paragraph)

1 line conclusion that was a fragment

and somehow got an 8. I guess the graderes really like my writing (i used like huge vocab words, which is why i didnt finish because it took me time to think of those words)

nice
i wrote a whole essay that was pretty good, but slightly off topic
hhaha

its just the multiple choice that seems to kill me~

^SparkNotes

They go pretty in depth for the writing section.

Go Mom! Don’t be scared, your scores are really good. Go to the library, and check out an SAT book, they usually tell you more about how to write the essay.

Make sure you fill up all 2 pages on the essay…do at least 2 body paragraphs. Use literary examples. Do some writing practice tests. You will definitely improve…might have been nice to have some forewarning so you could prepare!
