I found the writing section incredibly easy...

^ just kidding. he is right.

im pretty sure the second sentence is grammatically correct

That the elephants were unable to run suggests that their feet has shrunk.
has is wrong

Well, wait…

That the elephants were unable to run suggests that the building has shrunk.

Would that not be correct?

I think either can be correct, depending on the context, if the latter part of the sentence is not about the subject of the first part of the sentence (the elepahnts).

This whole different tests thing is making my heart race far too often. I keep seeing like answers different from mine and i’m like OMG and then i realize that we had different tests. hahaha oh boy collegeboard really knows how to stress out high school students

@lllklll & GPA

I think the right answer was E.
I put D (like GPA), which would had corrected the “shrunken” because I thought the “shrunken” was weird … but I just googled it up and “shrunk” is the past participle of shrink :frowning:

I’m pretty sure “has shrunk” was right.

Andd… I put after sen 9 too.

what was the one with the principal and wanting to improve the yard was “to improve” wrong

Did anyone get the question where (name) and I had to turn in articles quickly?

I put had asked, instead of has asked, (name) and I to turn in articles quickly.

Did anyone get the question where (name) and I had to turn in articles quickly?

I put had asked, instead of has asked, (name) and I to turn in articles quickly.

I put E (or forgot to answer it entirely). It think it could be ‘has asked’.

Nope, it’s D. Guys, it can’t be HAS when the sentence is in the past tense!

that the theifs were unable to sell the stolen art suggest that this practice has shrunk.

i think the sentence was similar to this
and i think it’s correct

for the shovel art passage
wat was the correct form for sentece about
clearly showing artist interest in ordinary objects and not the romantic bueaty?

lolcats4- the sentence was the present- The editor in chief has asked NAME and I to hand in our article quickly so it can be put in the next issue.
Something like that.
It was therefore no error.

hmm for the has shrunk test, was there only one other E (not counting the has/had shrunk) in the ID sentence errors?

I got two E’s remytherat.

to: reeya POST #52

wasn’t “I” the error in the sentence? switch “I” and “name” so the sentence reads

The editor in chief has asked I and NAME to hand in our article quickly so it can be put in the next issue.

take out “and NAME” and the sentence and switch “our” to “my” and the sentence doesn’t make sense.

^actually for my test it said

The editor in chief has asked NAME and me to hand in our article quickly so it can be put in the next issue.

that made sense to me so i put “has asked” as the wrong answer. shouldn’t it be “had asked”?

I’m sure the question was
The editor in chief has asked NAME and ME to hand in our article quickly so it can be put in the next issue.

and I think it does make sense.

my mistake.

in that case, there is no error.
if the editor in chief has asked you to turn in your article quickly so that it can be put in the next issue, then “had asked” means that the action has been completed. But notice the word** so.**. That means it is GOING to happen. “Had” would mean it has already happened. “Has” means it is CURRENTLY HAPPENING, or in the PROCESS OF HAPPENING. and this sentence 's action is CURRENTLY HAPPENING.

hope that elucidated it!

how many (E) No mistakes did you guys get for the section that had the one with the twins (born of the same mother) grammar problem?

i had 3-4.

I got four Es.
I’m pretty sure I got 1 of those wrong though.

I think it’s suppose to be me instead of I cuz you cant say the chief asked I to do something, it doesnt sound right. and JteH, how many writing sections did u get?
