I wake up at 5:30 catch the bus at 6:20, school starts at 7:20. I get home at 2:10, then i get something to eat. Then i do my homework take a nap and then i eat for dinner and go to sleep

I always feel tired in school because I never get enough sleep.

Welcome to Highschool.

try to skip the nap and get consecutive sleep. it may be hard at first, but you'll be more energized throughout the day. if you really need a nap, take a 15 minute power nap. anything longer than that messes up your biological clock.

i find it hard to get enough time for sleep (wake up at 6 for school, get home at 5:30 most days, and sometimes much later depending on whether i have a sports game. LOTS AND LOTS of hw, plus chores, so on, so on). when 11 pm rolls around, i go to bed no matter what i have done (i do the most important hw first, and things like studyin for quizzes i leave last, because i can just study throughout the next day until i have the quiz).

i honestly don't understand how schools and adults expect us to get straight As, be involved in clubs and events, be athletic, get at least 8 hours of sleep, and have a well-balanced social life.

but so be it...

I second blackwhitesilver's advice. If you have time to sleep in the afternoon, just transfer it to night and go to bed by 9. I've found that naps don't work well for me.

Just make it an object to never sleep in school. I have yet to fall asleep in school, and I only get 6.5-7 hours of sleep a night, followed by a whole day of activities. I drink one cup of coffee in the morning, and I make sure I never get too bored to go to sleep.

It's a lot better to skip the nap and get it in at night; otherwise, long naps will mess up your biological clock. Drink some coffee in the morning if you have to.

Definitely skip the nap. Yeah I get up at 5:30 to leave by 6:15, to get to school by 6:45 (but if we leave any later than 6:15 it takes more than a half hour to get there. Its like a calc problem lol). I have 0 period choir at 7:00, which is technically only supposed to be 3 days a week, but we usually have to go all 5. Then I have cross country right after school (3:00) until at least 5:00. sometimes 6, on somedays I have voice lessons after cross country. It takes me around 45 minutes to get home and then I have to do my butt-load of homework. And on top of everything, I decided to give up caffeine for the cross country season, so I only had coffee the days I stay up til 1:30...
