I give up...help me choose between Wellesley, Carleton, and NYU

Congrats! Onward and upward....or eastward .

Good school.

Congratulations, Advantagious!

Now, don't second guess yourself. Just move forward (by whichever route your Dad decides on!)

No, I'm decided, and very pleased. Apparently, it is 10 miles shorter to drive through the US, Wellesley is almost exactly 1000 miles from our house, and Wellesley is 40 miles north of Chicago. Fascinating :).

If you like playing with the map software - go to Google Maps, switch to satellite view, and simply search by the college name (no need to enter the address for most colleges).

Not only will you get a birds-eye view of the campus, but in many cases a bubble will show up with a "more information" link for many colleges, with all sorts of useful tidbits -- sometimes even including college reviews.

Good choice, advantagious! I attended the "other" college in Northfield. Many people love both that school and Carleton, but N-field is a very, very small town, with no graduate students and limited entertainment options. Wellesley will give you the lovely, picturesque campus but put you into a vibrant city. And its academics are top notch!

Have fun! Enjoy Boston!

Thanks SuNa! Actually, I am very familiar with St. Olaf, because my father is part of the architecture team doing the new science center...he was just there this past week. He likes to joke that all the students are blond :). All the people there were asking him "Has she decided yet? Has she decided?", and many of them went to Carleton themselves, so they definitely talked Carleton up. He also did a building at Grinnell, and tried to get me to consider Grinnell, but if Northfield was a stretch, man would Grinnell be a stretch.
