I give up.

First time taking the SAT's:

590 CR
450 M
540 Writing. (10 essay)

This was in December. Afterwards, I stepped my game up (more like attempted to now that I look at it) and took 5 hour long tutoring classes from the beginning of Winter break until the 10th of March. I thought I was more than ready...more ready than anyone in the world.

Second time taking the SAT's:

590 CR
480 M
590 Writing (11 essay)

I seriously wonder why all of you (no joke, ALL OF YOU) manage to score in the 2200's, and then post threads asking about whether or not you should retake the damn thing. Hey, I would take your score any day. It's not like scoring in the ninety-ninth percentile is a BAD thing. (>_>) However, it is obvious that I cannot take this test again and even hope to improve. I'm moving to the ACT now.

I went from about 550 in each to

Reading: 580
Math: 670
Writing: 670

I just don’t get it. Why is my CR always so bad?

Try the ACT.
Try test optional colleges.
The world will not come to an end w/these scores!

I cannot even tell you how much better my daughter is doing since she switched to the ACT…not a 34-36 or anything like that, but certainly within the range of most colleges in the country…

Did she have a hard time with the SAT?

I wouldn’t even post her scores ANYWHERE on CC or on PM…does that answer your question?
