When I was in 6th grade, I took the SAT to get into a program for academically talented students. I got 660 on the reading/language section and 510 on the math section, 1170 overall. Was this a good score? I am in 8th grade now and just wondering.

@eb23282 Easy on the 8th grader. Thing is, the score is very good for 8th grade, and with normal progression and practice they are on track for an excellent final score.
1170 is an above average score for final SAT numbers. It’s not amazing, but it’s sound. Ivy league schools are looking for 1400-1600. Very good schools are looking for 1100-1400. So this 8th grader is already in that bucket.
