I am a motivated student and I need to 34 to get into my dream school.
Is increasing 10 points feasible? I am planning to work really hard.
I had been in tough situations until now (can’t explain) and took my first test without prep.
I have 3.9 gpa and took Calculus BC , Gov, Physics 1 and I am rising senior.
Can you guys share ACT resources such as practice tests? Ideal study plan? I am planning to do 2 sectiosn each day and go over them.
Thank you!
Your writing is more in tune with the 24 and you are talking about increasing your score by 2 standard deviations. Did you not prepare for the first taking of the ACT?
There’s plenty of advice in ACT study guide books that are readily available at bookstores & libraries.
It’s definitely possible. My first score at the end of Freshman year was a 22. Two years later, at the end of Junior year, I have a 32.
@Sizzleracn However, a 22 in freshman year is normal. You should improve dramatically from freshman to senior year, with or without prep. However, the OP clearly states she just took her first ACT, as a junior, and needs a 34 to apply to colleges this fall, as a senior.
It is possible, but you’d have to work hard all summer and take the ACT in september. No one here can give you advice on how to study considering everyone is different.
It definitely is possible. I took the ACT twice, improving my score from a 28 to 35.
