I got 690 for Math level 1, and want to go to ivyleague

Should I retake math level 1 again?
or just studey and take Math level 2.

I mean....is my score (Math level1=690) even Adaquate for applying Ivyleague?

if applying to ivies, you need to take math 2. math 1 has a harsh curve, so a 690 is not bad at all, but if you are a junior and have the time to do so, retaking would not be a bad idea.

OH THANX!
i THINK i'M TAKING IT AGAIN.

If my daughter got a 760 on Math 1, does she need to take math 2, if the only ivy she is interested in says they accept either level math?

If your daughter is capable of taking the Math II exam (taking or completed precalc), then she should if there is time.

you should also consider what you're goingt to be applying under....if you're very humanities oriented, a great math I score like a 760 is much better than a poor math 2 if ur focusing on the humanties. it depends on your interests, in my opinion, at least.

Thanks for the help! She is interested in business, and math will be a factor in that area of study. She is currently taking IB Math, and she should do very well on that test (teacher says 7, should be at least a 6), so hopefully a good grade in that will make up for not taking Math2. She might be able to take math 2 in October, if she does not need to take the SAT 1 again. Thanks again for the advice, and good luck to all!

mom:

the Math 1 score is fine for nearly all but engineering or science-oriented schools (MIT, CalTech). I would not retake nor take Math 2.
