So in the mid year report that georgetown is going to see... I got a B in AP chem this year and all the rest are straight As. Also chem has NOTHING to do with me intended field of study. How much do you think they will care? Is it a make it or break it type of deal... or will they not care?

Thanks

Also I am a straight A student so it will stand out… I’m just terrible at chem haha.
Thanks in advance.

Look for similar posts. Getting a B no matter what class it is when you apply to a top 30 school will surely get you rejected sorry :(.

Get real, it won’t make any difference…is this a serious post? Terrible at AP Chem but you have a B? I would get a reality check before you go to college and get off College Confidential where people will fill your head with misconceptions of what is ‘average’ haha You’ll most likely get into Georgtown, relax… go to a few parties and enjoy your last term of high school…

Lol youre right… I shouldve rephrased that. I mean more like… if you are a borderline applicant, would that B carry substantial weight

No use worrying about it

Why post this on multiple forums? I’m a straight-A applicant except for a B in IB Chem last year and on my midyear report this year, and I’ve done fine thus far (Georgetown, UNC, and Chicago EA–Chicago with merit aid–and a likely from Duke). If you’re rejected it will not be because of that B.
