i had a 4.0 as a mechanical engineering student at community college. i got a’s in calc 1 and 2, and gen chemistry 1 and will prob get an a in calc 3. But i just took physics 1:mechanics and i got a really high c. so now my gpa is 3.85. i feel so stupid and terrible. this is the first of 3 physics courses and i should have gotten at least a b right? in your guys’ experience, which of the 3 physics (mechanics, electricity/magnetism, or modern physics) was the hardest? i will obviously try harder in these next 2 physics classes and i will have a lighter course load. because i need to get at least b’s in those classes because i really want to transfer to ucsd next year. please give me some advice. thanks so much
Physics 2 was definitely the hardest. I havent taken that yet, now I’m taking physics 1 which is mechanics, but my highschool (not a US highschool) had physics 1, 2, 3, and I took them all. Phys 3 and 1 were about the same difficulty, but I feel like I understand the concept better in physics 1, for physics 3 I didn’t really understand it was just like plug n chug and I had no idea what I was doing.
