Towards the end of second semester, I was absent for a whole chapter in Precalc due to the flu and my grade started going downhill from there. Basically I ended up with a D.
What do i do? I got the D after the summer school registrations due date expired and my schedule for Senior year says I'm in Calculus now. How will i make up that D? I want to get into a UC or CSU.

Unfortunately that is a question for your guidance counselor - he or she should be able to lay out the options and give you some direction regarding the pros and cons. Your guidance counselor is also the one who will be able to note the medical issue that came up on your applications. I would discuss that issue with he/she as well.

You should have anticipated the poor grade and registered for summer school earlier.
You could have asked the teacher to grade your final quickly and you would have known your grade that day.
In time to take Precalc in the summer.
Admit it, you were hoping to squeak by with a C.
You go to schedule change day at your high school before classes start and move down to Precalc.

You can still get into CSUs and UCs, depends on your gpa and SAT/ACT scores.

Yeah i was.
But i still had a C after summer school applications ended, and the final test for that class was on the last day of school.
I’ll just talk to my counselor.
