I got a D in Regular Pre-Calc

Hi, this is my first post here, I have lurked this site for a while but finally decided to sign up.
So, this semester was my worst year ever in my high school career, my GPA is the worst its ever been due to Pre-Calc
Quarter 1 I got a D (63.5), Quarter 2 I tried to try harder and stayed after school and got help many times, but still only ended up with a C- (71%) and this week I finished my final, which I tried my hardest on and only ended up getting a 65%, I’m dropping to Pre-Calc Intermediate (easier pre-calc) after this semester, however I believe since I received a D+ on my semester 1, that makes me ineligible for the Honor Diploma for my school. I believe I need to retake semester 1 of regular Pre-Calc in the summer. My only question is when I retake it, are colleges going to see my D+? or my retake grade? I am a junior in High School. I am an Average B-B+ student, freshmen year GPA (3.3) sophomore year GPA (3.5) but this year due to pre-calc my GPA is a flat 3.0. Obviously this looks bad on a transcript and makes me very worried for my future. Algebra 2 and Geometry were very easy compared to this course for me at least, I had a much easier time in AP Human Geography.

It’s likely that both grades will appear on your transcript, but you should ask your guidance counselor because it depends on your school.
