<p>I got a D in chem honors for the first semester. I retook and got an A. The old grade still showed on my transcript, but it did not count toward my GPA (the A did). Maybe grade forgiveness works the same way at your school.</p>
<p>Thank you everyone. I am glad to know that I am not alone. I seriously felt extremely dumb. And yes, I am in the 3rd week of retaking the course at CC. EVen if I cannot replace the grade I enjy relearning the material so that I can do well in precal h. (I'm going to have the same teacher again)</p>

<p>My school doesn't allow students to retake classes unless the student fails them. That includes summer school and community college. However, if you really liked the class, you can take it during a study hall for no credit, if you just liked being there. A lot of seniors with too many study halls do that.</p>
