It says The Office of Undergraduate Admissions and The Office of Student Financial Aid invited me to a Merit Scholarship and Need-Based Financial Aid Workshop. Does this mean anything or does everyone get this?

I got that letter last night too.

does it mean anything or is it just a letter than everyone gets?

Well, I sure as heck didn't get that :).

It sounds good to me!

I don't know.

My daughter received a booklet today, "How to Make Maryland Yours," all about scholarships and financial aid, but she didn't get the invitation that you did.

i notice that both me and ebonyqueen15 are URM's...i wonder if that has anything to do with it

That may be it. Also, we are OOS, and maybe U of Maryland thinks we wouldn't attend a workshop.

I haven't gotten anything and I'm in state (still 2 hours away though so I dont know if I'd be able to go)

qrd... are you in state of oos???

instate...

so yea... it could only be an instate only kinda thing most likely...

I live 15 minutes away and did not get anything

i got a letter as well, but im pretty sure that all applicants receive it... it just said "how to make maryland yours" and it was like an introduction to merit scholarships and financial aid...

There's a booklet too? I didn't get that, just the letter.

I also live about 10-15 min away.

I live instate and didn't get anything like that.....i wish i did though, because oh how i need scholarships

I just got it. It's not that important. Nothing you can't find on the website.
