I got accepted and now i got some questions...

I got accepted into the school of Engineering but now I want to major in Pharmacy also (hehe yea I know). Is there a way to transfer or study both?

Which resident Hall is the best considering I am going to attend
the school of engineering or otherwise?

I think it will be hard to study both engineering and pharmacy. I think you have to pick one or the other. Because they both have pretty strict course requirements, especially pharmacy. However, you can do engineering with the intention of being "prepharm" i think. But then it would be harder to get into pharmacy school if you decide that is what you want to do.

If you decide you want to do pharmacy instead, you have the following options: You can transfer to the school of pharmacy after/if you enroll. Its called a college to college transfer, i think. But not everyone who tries to do this is excepted. Or you can email/call Rutgers and ask them if you can also apply to the school of pharmacy. I know a few ppl who did this sort of thing before. It doesn't matter if you didn't pick pharmacy in your initial list of schools to apply to.

Here is a rundown of the campases for housing. (This is just my perception from what I hear. I do not know how true any of this is, and it might be changing in the next few years.)
Busch- newest, school of engineering and pharmacy sort of based there, parking available
College Avenue- integrated with New Brunswick the most (this can be a good or a bad thing), lots of surrounding stores, the original campus, little parking
Livingtson- known for having a lot of minorities, also new, parking available
Cook- environmentalish campus, lots of grass, a lake, farm animals, and stuff like that

The Pharmacy program results in a terminal degree, a PharmD. Since you do not receive a BS, there is no option of another major along with Pharmacy, at least at Rutgers.

From what I understand, transferring into the Pharm program is quite difficult. NjStudent may have a wise suggestion, if you do think you would like to switch into Pharm, contact Rutgers now.

I do believe Barr, in the BAMM dorms on Busch Campus, was the 'Engineering' dorm. Housing is changing come Fall '07, so check housing.rutgers.edu for the most current information. The best dining hall is on Busch as well.

Good Luck!
