Okay… So I got accepted in Columbia (ED) but I think I’m gonna get like a C and possibly a D (but probably not) on my 1st semester grades. I think I’ll be okay if I get a C, but what if, God forbid, I got a D in AP European History? I should probably mention athletics helped me get into Columbia so maybe my the coach will be able to talk to the admissions people? If anyone knows what these Ivy League schools do in these types of situations please help me out.

come one someone please help

One C will not rescind your admission. I got into Columbia ED as well. I look forward to meeting you in the fall. Just make sure that you do well on the final and talk to your teacher if the grade is not satisfactory with the amount of work you put in.

Congrats on your acceptance!

Most of time ED kids do not have to send those mid year grades. Colleges just want the end of year transcript. So you have time to bring those grades up which you had better do because I can assure there will be a line of waitlisted kids who DID keep their grades up senior year, and I know adcoms are alw

Actually, Columbia does require the midyear report. So her grades this semester do matter. One C however will not get your admission revoked.

oh snap....u should be ok man. Congrats by the way, and good luck

ok, thanks guys. i have a pretty decent academic record before this semester. i dunno *** went wrong with me.. i just fell behind and screwed myself over.
