.she said I am just calling to tell you that Ive been keeping track and things are looking good for you
She also invited me to an admitted student celebration weekend (April)

I guess I got in to CMU
..with a 1760 SAT score. </p>
<p>All I can say is thank God (and Buddha) for Physics, Research opportunities for high school students....and affirmative action!</p>

<p>Wow, congrats. I have not heard anything from CMU/CIT besides an email telling me when I'll get my decision. I applied for MechE? Either that or materials.</p>
<p>I wouldn't be so quick to thank affirmative action. Thank your personal achievements first and foremost, and really, nothing else.</p>

<p>If you're thanking Buddha, then you're probably not thanking affirmative action. It tends to hurt Asians (I'm assuming that you are. Correct me if I'm wrong) more than help them.</p>
