Hi guys, I have already done an interview with an alumni in November. Today I just received an email from the senior assistant from the admission office. He said “I’ve read your application and would like to get to ask you some questions and conversely answer questions that you might have about Reed.”
WHAT DOES IT MEAN??? I am freaking out. Is it possible that the alumni forgot to submit my interview request?
If admissions asks for something and you’re still interested in the school, you just have to do it. Email back as soon as you can with something like -
Hi Mr Lastname,
I did an alumni interview with Bob Smith in November, but I’d be happy to talk to you as well. Some good times for me are this day between hour and hour, another day between hour and hour, or another day before hour. The best way to reach me is cell phone/Skype/whatever contact info.

Hopefully it’s something good, and they are going to try to sell you on coming to Reed. At any rate colleges generally don’t do rejections by reaching out personally.
Right, you are being considered for admission.
Thank you so much! I am so nervous.
Thank you!
Same here! Got an interview request yesterday. Does anyone know if this means they are HESITATING whether to admit me or they give every prospective applicant that?
I wouldn’t say hesitating. Maybe looking to see if you have continued interest and promote enrollment, if they do admit.
Have a few interesting questions. Best luck to both of you.
Hey just out of curiosity, are you an International student? My friend told me that some colleges do second interviews for international students.
I agree they are trying to assess interest. I’d would definitely respond.
