I got an interview notification

I think I read from on a thread that in one's school, 4 people who interviewed got rejected but one who didn't get an interview notification got accepted. And another person replied that that's because the person who didn't get an interview notification was too good and other 4 were not as good.

Is true that you get an interview notification when you are mediocre and not outstanidng?

err..I really don't think thats the case. But, do they contact you after you submit part I of the app or do you have to submit everything first?

I submitted everything by Nov. 1st and got a notification today.

Any other opinions, please?

There is absolutely no truth to that; I received my notification and gave me interview before I submitted part 2. I submitted part 1 in early october, and gave my interview about 3 weeks after that. I submitted part 2 on october 31st, well after my interview. Additionally, Columbia received my high school transcripts and test scores after my interview as well.

where do u come from, vgboy?

Rhode Island, you?

It means absolutely nothing. Getting an interview has nothing to do with your qualifications --good or bad.
