I rewrote my 'why georgetown' essay and I think it is WAY better than my previous one, can I send in my new one?

I don’t know if you “can,” but my friend who got deferred from Yale last year sent new essays and got accepted later. Personally, I don’t think it will hurt you, but I don’t know for sure. Goodluck!

i have applied 6 univ. in the way of ea, only got 1 accepted. the rest (inclu gerogetown univ) has no any reply. i didn’t understand why. i think at least i should get a reply from the univ, even it’s defered or rejected. very strange thing!

I doubt it. What’s done is done. I think that you can only add, not change… You (anyone) cannot arbitrarily extend your app deadline…just because.

Linkate: maybe the college accidentally placed you in he regular applicant pool…

I called in today and the person I talked to (who didn’t seem very knowledgeable) said I can send in new essays but they will not replace my old ones. He also said Georgetown encourages supplement material … Although, in my opinion, I would think sending in extra essays may be seen as a little annoying. Any thoughts?
