I got EPGY!!!

Yay!

:)

Session 2, Humanities: 20th Century.

Anyone else going? :)

FWIW: those of you who haven't gotten a letter or email, neither did I. But I checked epgy.stanford.edu and I looked at the Summer Institutes page, and there's the arrival dates and stuff, then you SCROLL DOWN and it said 'Congratulations on your acceptance!'

I went there after seventh grade, took a "topics in geometry" course with all the high school kids... Yeah... not fun. But I guess if you're the same age as everyone else, then it should be fun! Watch out for Rudol... He's scary. If he's still around.

Yea, I got an email too. 1st Session - Introduction to Engineering.

Good Job!

:)

sigh
i got into introduction to engineering but i cant go since my parents wanna go see my relatives in belgium during that time. I sent an email asking to transfer to Comp programming for the 2nd session but i doubt theyll let me since that was my first choice on my app before.

Was anyone rejected? Is it too late to apply?

I believe you can still apply for space-available positions.

So did I...accelerated physics session 2E.

Though EPGY is incredibly expensive and I doubt they rejected over 10% of the applicants.

Yeah, it is pretty expensive. But I think it's a little more competitive than that...

when I emailed them because the date of arrival on the website seemed fishy, they said they basically said they were swamped with app's.

And I would also think that the science courses are more competitive than the humanities ones. I think each course accepts 20 students or so.

bump to top

heh. I got accepted in 7th grade, then I rejoined in 11th after I had money. PLanning to take Multivariable and Physics.

I didn't even know they had middle school programs.

What session are you going?

I'm going to session 2... intermediate computer programming. :)
