I was told in the admission letter to the program that only 10 ppl were admitted while about 500 ppl applied. It’s pretty amazing that I was among so few selected students-well it said on the website that they were gonna admit about 20 ppl.

I am kinda nervous about the intense studio and liberal arts courses in my freshman year at RISD…also don’t know what will happen during the second year at Brown( i am probably gonna have trouble catching up). Though after all, I am really excited because I will be going to Brown and RISD, both of which are my favorite colleges!!

and the coolest thing is I am going on a full ride from Brown. I would not be able to attend RISD alone if I was not accepted by the program because RISD doesn’t offer financial aid(it’s such a shame).

Congratulations, that is an amazing achievement to be accepted by both highly selective schools! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time in Providence!

I am a current senior now in the process of looking at colleges and my absolute dream is to be accepted into the RISD/Brown program. Is there anything you could share about why you think you got in? or any advice?
