I got in with a 3.2 out of state

Well, I wouldn't say "average" applicant makes top 1% in the nation for ACT math and science. That's probably the key reason for your acceptance -- considering you're out-of-state with a 3.2 GPA and not an URM.

It just goes to show that a bad GPA does not make it impossible to get accepted, one just has to have something amazing to make up for it.

i just meant that my high scores made up my low GPA (so like canceling out each other to make me average lol). I just wanted to share my acceptance to the university to show that GPA isn't everything, although Michigan is known to weight heavy on the GPA (I believe).
