Hey guys, I finally got into a school. IUB is offering me a $24,000 scholarship, but I don't have automatic entry into Kelley. I didn't qualify because I had a 28 ACT, not 29.

Anyway, can someone give me info on what its like there? Would a city boy from NY fit in? How long do I have to wait to get into Kelley?

Congrats and you say NY and city but don't mention The City............so Bloomington is a small quiet town, lots of green space and you will find it just a bit more quiet and closes up earlier. Other than that kids like it.

Hey, i visited couple weeks ago and like you im sorta a city boy ( live right next to Los angeles) in a way but i liked it. although the state of indiana is very country like and obviously nothing like nyc or la but the people are nice and their not like rednecks or anything, just normal people. the students at IU are just normal kids some from california and east coast so im sure being from ny wont be a problem. the oos undergrad. student pop. is 35% so there u go.

I got in too, with $28,000 faculty scholarship, direct admission to Kelly and Hutton Honors College. I also got into UNC-Chapel Hill EA as an OOS student. However, I was deferred from Penn ED and very disappointed. I am still hoping that I can get into Wharton. BTW, how about the job prospect from Kelly. I know IU is much lower ranked from US News. If I major in finance, is there any possibility to work in I-bank after Kelly?

How do you find out what college you applied to at IU? I got accepted and I'm pretty sure I applied to Kelley but not positive, is there anywhere i can go to check this?

even though you applied as a business major. you are required to spend at least a semester at indiana-bloomington university division before you can enroll in kelley. there is no direct-admit process for transfer students, unlike freshmen.

Yeah there is no direct admission to your major, unless you're doing business, I think. If you're doing like French, you would have to take your required classes, then apply to your major after a year or two.

There is a direct admit foption or Arts and Sciences. Minimum GPA 3.0; minimum SAT 1270 combined, plus essay. My S was accepted to Arts and Sciences via this route. You could apply after your initial acceptance to IU. The deadline might have passed by now.
