computer engineering, yesterday morning, last name B.

i found out today that i got in; computer engineering, last name s.

stats (abbrev.)

gpa 3.5
sat1 2000 (710 math, 630 crit. reading, 660 writing)
sat2 800 (math level 2), 700 (us hist.), 670 (writing)
ap: 4 (us hist.)

i found out today that i got in; business, last name t.

gpa 3.6
sat 1330

i got in for business admin

3.7 gpa
2050 sat

I got in for biological sciences
well, my deflated CSU gap according to my hs is 3.64 at the time and 3.71 (as of now).
act 27
AP: Bio 4
Hook: been taking college classes since sixth grade.
tough classes include gen. chemistry and Multivariable calculus.

Has anyone heard anything about architecture?

^ i heard SLO is the best architecture school in the nation...ahead of MIT, Cal, Cornell, etc...

According to intellidesign, it's second (maybe third now) just after some ivey league. Gaining acceptance to SLO's arch dept. is a feat in itself.

Architecture decisions haven't been released yet. (Well, not mine at least)

I heard SLO is second to Harvard nationwide. I find that kinda hard to believe though-- what about Yale?

Got in a couple days ago...

Electrical Engineering Major

On the application

Sat: 520 verbal; 600 math
Reported GPA: 3.60

Realized that UC and CSU calculated GPAs differently. Honors courses not considered honors in a UC may be considered honors in CSU.

Mailed them a letter of correction with my transcript (even though I called admissions and they told me they do not correct applications).

Gpa fixed: 4.12

I'm guessing the corrected my application. Good thing I mailed them anyway.
=p

If not... Maybe its because I'm filipino and filipinos are the most under-represented asian ethnicity group in CPSLO.

Oh and if that didn't help, maybe their ROTC program helped since I interviewed with them in person. I'm hoping to get the 4yr scholarship from them. Congrats to everyone.

Any outta state acceptances?

ilikespiceyfood: I applied to architecture and I haven't heard yet either.

catalina: I'm from out of state and I haven't heard anything, but that might be because the architecture decisions may not have been released yet....

Has anyone with Comp Science major heard anything yet?

Two of my buddies got in, one as EE and other Animal Science. The EE guy is going there for sure, but the other one is still waiting on UCSD and UC Davis.

applied with 3.4gpa 1050sat, 90% chance i wont get in =/

cheba: applied for comp engineering. close enough? got in.

I've seen a lot of people in CE get in, but haven't heard about anyone getting in for CS yet. Thanks for your response though.

Friend got in CS with 3.4 and 1250 sat

Wow, thanks for your response, hopefully I will here some good news soon.

~ACCEPTED~

3.3 GPA 1320 SAT (690M/630R)
I can't go though :-( too far)

I got an email with a link to another page where it says:
"congratulations.

you have been offered conditional admission to Cal Poly for Fall 2006.
where do you go from here?"

The page seems rather unprofessional, does this mean I'm in?
Anyway, I applied for Biomedical Engineering. GPA 4.0, 1420 SAT.
