So excited! I just checked on line and I am accepted!
30 ACT, 4.0 UW gpa
When do they let you know about scholarship $$?

You will get a letter in the regular snail mail in about a week or so. That will confirm your acceptance and include any information about scholarships and/or Honors Program invitation.

Do you think I will get any scholarship? Also, my OCT SAT’s are being sent on Thursday along with my May SATs (2070) if they are better than my ACT’s will that help?

I hesitate to guess what they will offer, because your ACT is not as strong as your GPA. I don’t know how they will weigh these. However, your SAT scores are stronger than your ACT (a 2070 is equivalent to a 31 on the ACT), but I am not sure if that is enough to make a difference. It might be. Certainly if your October scores come in at 2100+, you can and should contact admissions and see if they are willing to increase the offer. They have definitely done this in the past.

Thank you Fallen Angel, you have been SO helpful! I will wait to see what happens on Thursady with my SAT’s. By the way do yo know when the CSS profile for financial aid needs to be filed? Now that I am in, gotta figure out how to afford it!

Always a good idea, lol.

February 15 is the deadline for the FAFSA and CSS. Here are key dates: [Tulane Admission: Application Deadlines](http://admission.tulane.edu/apply/deadlines.php)

Good Luck!

when you logged onto your gibson account did you have to click on anything?? or does it just say it as soon as you log in. i applied early september and it just says application complete.

S applied early September and his Gibson account has read complete for a week. I think that if you are accepted, it will be on the first page. Hoping for positive results soon!

Hi, well today I got my OCT SAT scores and although I was very inconsistent, I was thrilled with my CR improvement:

May Oct

CR 590 750
MATH 680 610 (don’t know what happened!)
WR 770 720 (tough essay!)

Anyway, these were automatically sent to Tulane (says they went on 10/26) I had submitted my ACT score of 30 when I applied and found out I was accepted on 10/26 - WOO HOO!

Now if I superscore my SAT’s I have a 2200. My unweighted GPA is 4.0, weighetd is 5.3/6.2. Do you think it is OK if I send them an email today asking them to PLEASE review my SAT’s before making any scholarship decisions. Do they decide the scholarships at the same they make admissions decisions. I know I can appeal it afterwards so should I just wait and see? And do they definitely superscore SAT’s when deciding scholarships?

S was admitted today! The timing is perfect as he is headed to New Orleans this weekend for the Campus Preview Day!

Congratualtions, that is awesome!

D was admitted today!!! One of her top choices!

for those recently accepted, how long were Gibson status = Complete before decision was updated to Accepted? C-4-3 indicated about a week. Everyone else experiencing similar timing?

Son admitted today! He will be very excited. in his top 4 choices! We loved NOLA!

DAD2ILD, it was almost three weeks for us. Tulane is where he thinks he really wants to go, so it has been 3 LONG weeks!

So he doesn’t know yet? Suggestion for you (if he is a computer guy at all). When he gets home, ask him if he will help you with a computer problem you are having… that you have some weird message popping up on your screen that you can’t get rid of, and will he come to help. Then have the “congratulations” page up on your screen for him to see when he begrudgingly comes to help you fix your computer problem!!

mumof2 - congrats on the new scores! It is really hard to say what the best course of action is. I guess I would send an e-mail directly to your counselor and tell them that you just got your new scores, they are on their way to Tulane now, but that you wanted to make sure they had them for any merit scholarship decisions that are being made. Then tell them what the new scores are, including the superscore, and see what they say. When you get the letter, if you are not happy with the amount, you can recontact. I guess that is the best I can think of. You know how to find your counselor, right?

everyone else: Congrats on the good news! So nice to know early, isn’t it?

@dad2ild:

I wish it were only a week. what I said is that Gibson has been complete for a week, but no acceptance. It sounds like the norm is three weeks.

My D’s app was complete on 10/10…good luck!!!

Woo hoo! D admitted today. Application was complete about two weeks ago. Stats: M 690, CR 730, E 720. Hoping for a scholarship. Fingers crossed!
