Thanks for the info.

Hi Everyone! I was just wondering if any of you guys that got into GSP applied to a school other than CAS?

alexalex,

What I meant was if i take liberal arts courses how will I learn all the material of calculus, organic chem, bio + labs etc. to even have a chance at the test if Its recommened to take the MCAT's in junior year or meaning that it would be my first year at CaS given i was able to transer after 2 years of GSP. By no means do I want to step into the real world and already search for a job as quick as possible

Does anyone when the deposit for GSP is due?

To Tangents - don't liberal arts courses also include math and science? I mean, liberal arts colleges always offer science courses. Hopefully you also get some elctives at GSP.

"Does anyone when the deposit for GSP is due?"

.

you can take chem, bio or calc during your freshman year in gsp if applied to be on the premed track. they make it work. it's a requirement to have math and science courses for everyone. if you don't have a major GSP recommends putting off your math until you know which course is required for your major. But you'll be able to take those courses while in gsp through cas if its for your major.

I applied to the Steinhardt School of Education as a communications major. Is it possible for me to be put in GSP?

and both of my parents went to NYU and i'm african american. So i have a pretty good chance...i thinK!

of course u do. In fact, you have a shot at much better colleges. Possibly an IVY.

haha sorry...I meant does anyone know when the deposit for GSP is due? I'm pretty set on going there now,hey it's still NYU! but if I have some time I may still want to send in some other apps, so I'm just wondering...:-)

For ED applicants, does getting into GSP instead of CAS mean that the binding contract is off? Because technically applicants signed to attend NYU's CAS and nothing else...right??

Yes, if you get into GSP you don't have to take it. It's not binding. However, they won't "hold it" until you get your other acceptances in April. You have to say yes or no in the next few weeks.

i got my letter for GSP two days ago, and at first i was SOOO depressed..but now im really psyched and i CANNOT wait to be in this program...
i didnt really expect to get into CAS...my SAT's were definitely on the lower end of average...but hey! i guess it wasnt too bad...plus i figure once youre in NYU....everything is gonna severly ROCK....and then transferring and everything should be relatively simpler. the hardest part is done now..
congrats to everyone who got it....

Mind if I ask your essay topic? You make it sound very interesting.
