I was looking around at some psych programs, and it seems that both UCLA and Cal have great programs, with a slight edge going to Cal. So as far as academic rep goes, you will get it at both hands down. Just go where you feel is right, but make sure to check out both personally if you can- even with those rude phone calls.

I turned down Berkeley for Ucla, and when you visit the campus you will know why :)

I'm still torn, i love them both...

although at the moment berkeley makes more sense except we cant find a decent three bedroom close to campus X____x

as for la they won't let me know if i can get into a dorm til august

how does berkeley make more sense? lol

You should go to UCLA and join the little meet up we are having with other people from here :). You will be like the only person beside me that went to DVC!

And as for finding a place to live, its LA, there are tons of options! If I remember correctly, the fancy high rise apartments in Beverley Hills/Westwood close to UCLA are reasonably priced when I checked a while back, thats where I might go my senior year.

Look around, I'm sure you won't be homeless when you go to UCLA

I'm sure you won't be homeless *If you go to UCLA :)

wow its nice to know that some people from nor cal like me are transferring to UCLA...i knew some people that went to DVC

uh kind of replying on a year old thread. LOL

lol, I read that all the way through as if it was this year's appeal...

A year later, but it's interesting to note that my experience of UCLA staff not being the affectionate doves that Cal folks were is not unique. It wound up making me feel really bad about saying no to Cal

lol i totally read this thinking it was this year too.
