My freshman year of high school my goal was around a 2.8. Now I am a sophomore and first semester I got a 3.0 weighted gpa and am ok 2 honors classes. Second semester will all B’s except for in my arts and lit class and have a 3.3 gpa. I have slacked off in school a lot especially freshman year and don’t study much but this year I began paying more attention and got my grades up a tiny bit. I think that naturally I’m very smart and know that next year I can easily get all A’s. In the last couple weeks of sophomore year I was able to get A’s on everything when I tried. Next year for junior year I am taking apush and one or two honors classes and I think I can defaintly get all A’s since I decided to start working harder at school. I slacked off a lot freshman year because i was pressured and very stressed but I really want to improve my grades. I also think I can score really high on the ACT and SAT. my question is if colleges see how I improved throughout high school will I still be able to get into a good college? I didn’t do amazing freshman year but I was 14 at the time so I’m curious about if they are going mark me down for my freshman year if I make drastic improvements. I would also comcifer my self to be very good in the Stem fields and in math and want to go into either a stem career or buisness.
