Will this significantly decrease my chances of getting into an ivy league school?

How were you doing in the class? You must have been receiving a significantly low grade, which would in turn hurt your chances. Taking lower classes than your school offers is never a good thing for the most prestigious institutions. It won’t ruin your chance, but if you take lower math classes all throughout high school, it could certainly hurt your chances.

got a a- first quarter, b second quarter, and a b+ third quarter

So why did you get moved down? Is there so much grade inflation that unless you get an “A” you get bumped? That makes no sense and there must be more to the story.
I’d get back on that honors track ASAP–in some places it’s hard to get back on it once you’re off and yes, colleges look for it.

no its just that the class wasnt really based on test grades but homework and projects. I got moved down cause my teacher said that I didn’t have good enough test grades. Idk if it helps but my hs is in the top 200 public schools

but i did technically meet the grade requirement to stay in the class which is a b. In the rejection letter they sent me, they said if i get a high a they will bump me to ap math senior year. I doubt that it will be very hard to get a high a since in freshman year i was in regular and got 2 a+'s and 2 as and got a very high score for the final
