Williams is one of my top choices, but so far I've been rejected from Duke and waitlisted at Rice...not feeling too optimistic right about now.

hehe, check the mail ... when ?

I already checked the mail today. I live in Boston and got nothing.

yeah i'm not thinking itll be a positive decision for me either.. wait listed NU and deferred from Dartmouth ED, but somehow i have managed some unwarranted optimism before each decision, maybe just excitement to get a decision.. but its happening again although i think i'm about to get disappointed

Does anyone else feel nauseous before checking a decision? Duke's website was so slow, I almost threw up, and Duke isn't even in my top 10 schools lmao!

always.

...and checked the mail. nothing from williams, just disappointing state school aid package and even more disappointing NU wait list in print.

Johnny i definitely feel you on the nauseous thing. Even before my safety schools I've felt like I was going to puke, and some of them were in big envelopes too.

Haha that's intense, I have yet to receive a decision via the actual mail so I don't know what that's like.

Yeah there have been tons of conflicting reports. This is from the admissions officer responsible for Europe: "We will be mailing tomorrow and emailing accepted international students next week. If you haven’t heard a decision by April 4, you may call our office to find out the decision."

Isn't it odd that they make all the decisions together but all have different ideas about when the letters are being sent?

i think theres a lot of confusion in any college admissions office this time of year...

but what role does the email play in notification? do they actually email you your decision or do they tell you to check some website like other schools seem to do?

they actually tell you in the email.

I really just want to know when I'll hear my decision! The mail takes at least a week to get here and I realllllyyy want to know my decision before Monday so I have some time to either celebrate or shake it off before three of my schools tell me their decisions on Monday.

I'm on Long Island too, but I didn't get anything...

OH my gosh.
everytime i check an online decision i feel like my insides are being devoured very slowly and painfully by who knows what. its the worst feeling in the world. i usually cant get myself to click the button to check for a good 1~2 hours. nauseous? heck yes!

maybe it was an early write? did the early writes have something included to show that they were? it was the standard folder that said "probability this folder means what you think it does, blah blah" and included something for a preview that the deadline for is tomorrow so maybe it was late.

Accepted students get an email? What about the rejected students? Does it mean that if you get an email from Williams, you can open it without any fear because it's definitely an acceptance?

No only international students get an email. The rest of us have to wait for good ol' USPS to come a knockin.

Well, I'm looking forward to Monday, I guess! Although my parents are pretty set on me going to Northwestern, I still have that little rush of anticipation in regards to Williams!

I'm telling you, I think they are MAILING them on Tuesday. I just called this afternoon and she said that they were going out on April 1st.

but we're supposed to know by april first.... they promised to tell us by that date. right?

the lady i spoke with earlier today said they will mail out by april 1st >.<" lots of conflicting opinions.. got no mail today but i live in CO, so thats a factor XD maybe tomo? we'll see lol
