Figgy! Congrats man, you're the best!!!

I hope this doesn't mean you'll leave the CC community. : (

Well GL trill, I hope the GT works out!

Congrats Acerbic!! That's great.

Thanks!

Does anyone know when we're getting our admissions packages?

hehe thanks figgy, Congrats to u too!
Last2, Ian mentioned something about admissions stuff and we should be getting them soon!

congrats everyone/GL ;)

^ CONGRATS.

I guess I'll continue to wait.

u guys should have asked when are transfer students going to get decisions ;)

ILRGT, hey thanks! no worries u should get a call soon, i'm sure by next week fo sho! GL :)

Acerbic--Congratulations! That's great news, even though you/we all knew it was coming! A personal call from the GT counselor--that's a nice way to get the news! I'm increasingly impressed with ILR, even though I "know" no one else in that college than the folks here on CC! ;) They are certainly handling the GT process well. I hope the other colleges are even close.

Other ILR GTs--it might be that hearing through a personal phone call rather than a mass email to everyone, etc. is what's making the process of hearing take a bit longer? Would you rather hear sooner, or wait a couple of more days to get that personal phone call? Just curious!

2010 GTs--You may naturally lose interest in CC after you get involved in your new college life at Cornell, but I think it could be very helpful to the 2011 GTs if you might be able to post at CC once in awhile about how your experience is going first year at CU. The 2011s will soon be enduring the year you are now completing at their respective freshman colleges and hearing that you are doing ok once on CU's campus will/would be very encouraging to them, I'd think. Hearing my reports from this forum (as anecdotal information) has helped encourage my s already. I'm sure many of us on the forum would love to keep hearing from you.

thanks Dr_Mom :) haha...I’ll be around cc for a long while lol GL to ur son, this is such a great opportunity!

Thanks, Acerbic! We'd love to hear from you. I can "hear" the excitement in your voice, which is just great. You're absolutely right about the opportunity! We went to Cornell's Commencement ceremonies last May (for another family member), and it was a beautiful event, well organized by the university for the large number of people involved. You're gonna love it! ;)

The phone call was better I think. Ian said that he called so that we wouldn't have to wait for the "official" acceptance packages n such. So I think the phone call is actually the fastest way. It was really nice to get it too. Makes ya feel special :) ...especially at a great college like Cornell.

Ya I'll stick around. Be a bit gomestarish maybe :)

Hey, Figgy--that'd be great; thanks! :)
