i got mine yesterday. it's pretty plain, kinda disappointing.

^ i got mine yesterday also and i agree with what u said

Got it today.. nothing special. Are they supposed to include the fin. aid package? Or we are just supposed to use the one they give online?

I didn't get anything fin. aid related.

^^ u're just supposed to keep track of when they update ur online one

I received mine today as well. It was rather plain, but I did like that it said "this is the BIG envelope you've been waiting for!"

yeah the only good part of the package was the envelope.. elohel

"I received mine today as well. It was rather plain, but I did like that it said "this is the BIG envelope you've been waiting for!""

Mine from last year said "Congrats! It's the BIG envelope!" which I thought was pretty funny

i think its funny that they included visiting Mexico in their list of things to do, must not have been updated recently.

it was a small packet....

i was sad.

All of the packets I received so far were small. Santa Cruz's was the biggest.

So far I only got an acceptance packet to UC Davis, which was pretty much just the online letter printed out, along with a short guide...

I guess since I'm somewhat far from SD, I'll (hopefully) get it on Monday. But by the look of things, it's as disappointing as UC Davis's.

Yeah, they were all pretty disappointing. My friend got the Regents/CHP packet from Irvine, which was beautiful. Came with a certificate in a folder and everything. Didnt think the regular acceptance packets would be so dull.

I like how the envelopes all say "CONGRATS" or "YOU'RE IN." Assuming you didnt check online, then that's a sure way to ruin the surprise xD

I got mine Saturday and I thought the whole... CONGRATS! IT'S THE BIG ENVELOPE thing was pretty funny.

I thought the "BIG ENVELOPE!!!" thing was funny too. But there was nothing special in the envelope itself haha.

If you want the big fancy packet with the certificate, then pay another $25000 a year in tuition and get a nice big one like USC's.

tptshorty is right, but a little off. It is more like pay $100,000 extra over four years for a nice big envelope from usc that you get once. Not what you would call a bargain per se.

Same here, not loaded with stuff. But nice to get the official letter.

Well you could always pay 45 to apply, get accepted, get the pretty packet, then turn the offer down :)
