I got my score for december

I got my score for december
and it's 1750
here's the school i'm applying

UC BERKELEY
UC LA
UC DAVIS
UC SD

John Hopkins
Columbia
Cornell
Stanford
U of Penn

i'm bumbed am i right?

i dunno what to do
help me~

about score report
i'm sending them on christmas
how long will it take?
what's the deadlines?

Most places have January as the final test month, so sending shouldn’t be an issue.

If January is the final test month for some of the schools you are applying to and you feel you can improve your score - why not take the test again?

With that score, you can chop off the second half of your choice. A killer essay won’t help your chances.

Also, rushed scores take 1-3 business days while regular scores take 1 to 2 weeks.
If your college accepts Dec scores, then sending it regular will be fine.

anhtimmy,i dont like you very much…your always undermining peoples’ effors and shattering their dreams.Let the boy apply to anywhere he wants. i’m bumbed am i right?

i dunno what to do
help me~

about score report

he was clearly asking about deadlines…answer the questions or dont bother conversing in any way…sorry if i was harsh,i just dont want you to have a bad life.

There is definitely truth to both your statements anhtimmy and lobzz…

Here’s what the OP should know…
Your SAT scores will definitely put you at a disadvantage so it might not be wise to apply to all your reach schools, but if you truly love each and every school on your list then you should definitely try for all of them. If your GPA is good, your recs are good, and your essays are good, that disadvantage will disappear.

Eh… If you don’t have a thick skin you should probably avoid the internet.

its not that…its just, what people dont understand is that at some point in your admissions proccess colleges do look beyond the numbers and they start looking at the subjective stuff and the ECs…i come from a school that sends kids everywhere with horrible(according to CC’s standards) marks…We had a kid with,i think,an 1190 or 1200 out of 1600 and a pretty good GPA (3.6-3.8) and he got into MIT…another girl with a 3.9 and a 2000 who got into penn(full ride)…Im applying to places like George Washington University,Brown,NYU,Mcgill and BC with a 1750 and hopefully a 1450/1600 on SATIIs and a 3.0 GPA…but then again i have pretty good ECs and wonderful essays…is anyone on this site familiar with the word arbitrary???

Thanks

just do NOT send rushed scores

most colleges dont prefer (or favor) those rushed formats.

and also colleges dont really care if those score reports or transcripts or teachers recs arrive after than the deadlines as long as your applications are submitted before the deadlines.

some college admissions officer told me that “rushed” option is not really rushed, but its the way the college board gets $

If the college explicitly states that everything must be in on XX, then everything must be in on XX.

Lobzz, hiding behind fake reassurances will only hurt the person even more.
