<p>Well, Sybbie this is kinda adressesed to you, are the estimates they give in these letters usually close or on the mark, or do they tend to be off by a lot, personally I would not want to get excited and then in April have a package that is substantially worse.</p>

<p>Don't be afraid to compare your packages as if someone gives you a better package you can send the package to Dartmouth and request a financial review (last year Williams, her second choice gave a package that financially was going to be pretty hard to walk away from.) Daughter requested a review because it really was between Dartmouth and Williams as far as where she would attend. Dartmouth met the Williams offer.</p>
<p>P.S. I really hope that you don't use this with like 7 schools lined up to pit one against the other because you will have some schools that will flat out tell you to go where your money will take you. I think that you should only negotiate with your final 2-3 choices.</p>
