<p>USC veterbi or Duke pratt...</p>
<p>Duke Pratt! ... what major would you consider BME, ECE, etc...</p>
<p>well industrial at USC, thats one of the big problems. probalby ME at duke, maybe their five year engineering management degree.</p>
<p>I just got off the waitlist!
This is SO weird, I seriously didn't think they would choose internationals.
kpex2, there's still hope!</p>
<p>do you guys think it is too late for anyone else to be taken off the waitlist?</p>
<p>PsychedelicSushi -- Not at all. I got taken off the waitlist today (at 9:30 PM, which was an odd time to receive an email of this nature). However, I'm fairly sure that I will be attending Northwestern, so someone else can take my spot!</p>

<p>Well, I have to say that that's pretty amazing. I guess i'll just hold on till a get my email or call.</p>
<p>Thanks BhavaniG!! I got into Nu too :) Unfortunately, I did not receive any sort of aid. :/ I am currently enrolled in Rice University (better FA package) and hope to get off the waitlist at Duke ^_^!!!</p>
<p>are they done taking people off? 0_0</p>
<p>I hope not. There are supposed to be two intakes, I believe. May intake and June intake, then a letter is sent to those still on the list letting them know that Duke won't be taking anymore people off the wait list.</p>
<p>Someone in my son's senior class was offered admission off the waitlist earlier this week.</p>
<p>has anyone heard lately?</p>
<p>I haven't, but I definitely feel your pain :(</p>
<p>hey kpex2, do you know where you are currently enrolled?</p>
<p>Ya, I'm currently enrolled at Illinois Tech and on 2 wait lists. Seems we're the only wait-listed people still posting who haven't yet been offered admission at Duke.</p>
<p>haha, well it's nice to have company, lol. ^_^</p>
<p>i'm currently enrolled at Rice University in Texas... i really like it, but i think i would do better at Duke... i'm also on two waitlists as well :D</p>
<p>well, I guess this kinda cool. I've gone back through the threads and indeed only ours are the odd men out. The wait is killing me, I sent a letter to the Dean of admissions 2 weeks ago begging...actually trying to convince them to admit me. Doesn't seem to have done much though:)</p>
<p>Oh no! It's over:( </p>
<p>Dear ________</p>
<pre><code> I am very sorry to tell you that we are concluding the admissions process for Duke University this year, and that unfortunately we will not be able to offer a place in our entering class to any additional students.
I know that by now you have made other arrangements for your college education, and I expect that, given your accomplishments, you had a number of good choices. Still, I appreciate that our arriving at this point may well be disappointing to you, and I truly regret that we didn’t have room in our entering class to admit the many exceptionally talented students who were on our waiting list. Again this year we found ourselves not being able to admit a large number of extremely appealing candidates who would have added much to our campus and student body.
We know that virtually all of our applicants are outstanding young women and men, people who we know are fully capable of making an impact in the classroom and in the community at Duke. The Admissions Committee faced an extremely difficult challenge selecting our class this year, considering 19,200 applicants for just 1,665 places in the first year class.
I very much appreciate your patience in remaining on our waiting list. Over the last two months I have had the privilege of hearing from many students on our waiting list, who made it clear how much they hoped to be admitted to Duke. All of us in the Admissions Office were disappointed that we could not offer admission to everyone who worked so hard for it, who had so much to offer, and who deserved it in so many ways. I know, though, that the school fortunate enough to count you among its students will benefit greatly from your presence, and that our loss will be their gain. I have no doubt too that you’ll find much success as you pursue your education further. Thank you again for applying to Duke.

ABC

Dean of Undergraduate Admissions</p>
