Advising people not to talk to strangers is kind of a basic guideline that you're taught even when you are young. It's kind of common sense. It might be more difficult for people from smaller towns to understand this concept.

a bum beat up ur bf ? :(

i used to walk to my ex bf's unit 1 or 2 not sure

at night...alone....

i hated him for that. thats why hes my ex

ucborucla - boys that do that are stupid. my bf at the time did that once and he lived in unit 1 or 2, too. he's my ex now as well.

I think quite a bit differently. I think it is great to talk to strangers, try not to shelter yourself and live life to its fullest.

haha sux for u... when i was @ Berkeley couple days ago i was not robbed.. i guess u have a bad luck

Since when is 'prosaic' a 10 dollar word?

But really, I am just tired of observing the all-too-common hesitance to try anything new out of fear of instability.

if i was ur man, the bum would be in the hospital instead
:D

aside from that-i personally wouldnt make my gf walk through a bad area by herself

you guys are weak sauce. try walking around usc at night.

Prosaic has been a "$10" word since the words "mundane", "ordinary", or "dull" became popular.

^maybe those words are before his time. lol

Sorry, anchor. I'll try to limit my vocabulary to only the 'popular' words next time.

there are plenty of cracked out bums in westwood
i took a ucla ext. class so i have a decent length of experience over there

Been hanging around Berkeley since I was 15 nothing has ever happened to me.Maybe being raised in SF the homeless capital gave me the edge.

so exactly where in my post did I mention the guy who attempted to rob me was a BUM? In fact he was a well dress African American who owned a cell phone.

haha i can't believe we all went off on bums, myself included.

I spent a few months last summer at Cal and lived on Durant Ave -- my car was broken into, my wallet was stolen at the movie theater and I was greeted affectionately by the local bums on a daily basis ... yet, I loved my stay there.

which part of berkeley is extremely dangerous? is it the campus or outsuide the campus? would it be safer for me to live in a dorm instead in an apt?

this thread delivers

say what you want about crime - it comes with any city environment, but the only thing berkeley stole from me was my heart... swoon...
