I got screwed

I am from out of state but still got in to Jacobs School of Engineering at Warren. My family can supposedly afford the $42,000/year but in reality it would make life quite difficult for them as they have just put my sister through college. I recieved no financial aid whatsoever, just some loan offers which would be hard to pay back. I was wonderin if any you out of staters recieved aid other than need based, and how much and what you did to recieve it. Feel free to post if your in same situation

BTW i got
3.97 GPA Unweighted
1910 SAT I
II: 680 Math II, 570 Spanish
Pretty decent stuff all around

Also curious to know how many out of state kids get accepted/how many apply

i got into ucsd's jacob school of engineering too. but i got no financial aid at all except loans. because of this i will not be able to attend because it would put a financial burden on my parents.

here are my stats:
4.0 uc gpa
1910 (720m,660w,530cr)
720 math
760 french
etc...

i share your pain (SATS are very similar. Me:720 Math/Wr 640/Cr 550)

how do u check ur financial aid information? i received an email and I tried to log into it but it requires a PAC ID # and I don't have it?

Did you apply to other schools? $42,000 per year seems steep.

i think you can check that info if you go to your "My Application" page. and it should say under your online acceptance letter "continue" in a box. Click it

and to the other guy, yes i applied to Berkeley and UCLA and didnt get it cuz im OOS and i did get in to University of Washington which is where i will be going (becuase im from Seattle so its cheap)

same situation.. but instate and got loans offers but am doing scholarships from fastweb...
