I got waitlisted from my dream school

Hi CC Members,
Recently I have been wait listed from the College Preparatory School in Oakland, California. Any ideas that I can increase my chances of my waitlist.

Below are the EC’s I did that I showed in my Application
Varsity MUN in my school and Award Winning Debater. Participated up to 5 Conferece’s, recently been to BEIMUN.
Participated in Roots and Shoots (Community Service Club) and Care and Share ( A local fundraising movement towards local school student by providing them laptops)
Table Tennis and Badminton Player at my school
3.86 GPA in my cum at my Private School
91 Percentile on SSAT

I realize that there is little I can do now, but I hope that you members can help me increase my chances of getting in to my school

I’m sorry to hear that you got waitlisted at all, especially from your dream school! I don’t see much besides sports in your ECs. Try to work up some awards maybe, or some academic coursework outside of school. Community Service can also never hurt. Please Reply if there is anything else.

I was in your same situation last year. I got waitlisted because I wasn’t Catholic. Crazy, right? I scored better than 95% of the people and I still got denied. Don’t sweat it. You’ll make it next year :slight_smile: good luck!
